The Grammy winning singer-songwriter, who took the stage to accept the 2022 Music Icon award, followed up with an epic performance that included a medley of her hits. While belting out her hit song, “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” she ditched the spoken and iconic “Brad Pitt” lyrics and honored fellow Canadian and People’s Icon Award nominee instead. “OK, so you’re Ryan Reynolds,” Twain sang before continuing on with the song as is, noting, “That don’t impress me much.” The camera, thankfully, panned to Reynolds, who was beaming with pride. He played along, acting shocked at the name drop, questioning “me?” and eventually laughing it off like it was no big deal. But it was, in fact, a big deal, as he later shared the E! News clip to his Instagram Stories, writing, “This may be the best thing that’s ever happened to me.” No word yet from Pitt about how he feels about getting dumped by Shania! Reynolds was also honored that evening, and in his acceptance speech, he expressed sincere gratitude for his family, including wife Blake Lively, who he called his “heart, hope, and happiness,” along with their three daughters, James, 7, Inez, 6, and Betty, 3. Reynolds also shouted out his three brothers, including the one who attended the show with him that evening in place of Lively, who is currently pregnant with the couple’s fourth child.
